1.5 million farmers will get 2 kg of rice seeds for free as part of an 820 million taka incentive to increase hybrid paddy production.
Another 1.2 million farmers will receive an incentive of Tk 730 million in a bid to boost production of high-yielding paddy. To cultivate paddy on one bigha of land, a farmer will get 5 kg of rice seed, 10 kg of DAP (Diammonium Phosphate) fertilizer and 10 kg of MOP (Murate of Potash) fertilizer.
