A school girl Sadia Akhter Pinky of 14 has reported to have committed suicide. She appeared at this year’s JSC (Junior School Certificate) examination. She was a student Dhalpur City Colony High School of Jatrabari in the capital.
A local miscreant youth Rony have been offering her for last few months. But Pinky refused him. Later she was abducted. Local police rescued her and a case of abduction was filed.
It is alleged that Rony’s family have been threatening them to withdraw that case. They again threatened Pinkiy’s family when the court refused the bail petition of Rony and sent him to jail.
Later Pinky was found hanged with her scarf from the ceiling in her grandmother’s residence. Local police have visited the spot and her dead body is sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
