A human trafficker was also arrested.

They were rescued after a house belonging to one Rajjak of Sadipur was raided on Friday night, said Abdul Mannan, Nayek Subedar of 26 BGB battalions ICP camp in Benapole.

“The trafficker Shariatpur’s Jewel Hossain who was caught along with the others was illegally taking them to India’s Gujarat with false promises of jobs.”

They were all kept in the custody of Benapole Port Police on Friday night.

The BGB official said the owner of the house and the other traffickers were able to flee after sensing BGB presence.
