A trawler capsized in the Ichhamati River in Sirajdikhan upazila of Munshiganj on Friday night.
Four people died in this incident.They are: 1. Mohiuddin Chhoton, 26, staff reporter of the daily Bangladesh Shomoy, 2. Golam Kibria Konok, a cloth trader, 30, 3. businessman Shahidul Islam Azad, 38, and 4.Wahid Imran, 25.
Fire brigade divers recovered three bodies, 15 hours after the incident, from the river around 12:15pm yesterday while the fourth body was recovered later in the afternoon.
The trawler sank while going to Tekerhat Lalon festival with 60 passengers on board. It collided with a sand-laden vessel at around 9:00pm.
All the passengers on board except the ill-fated four could somehow manage to swim ashore.
