BSF chief urges to legalize cattle trade

According to Islamic faith cow may the eaten, but the Hindus believe cow is a holy animal and demands care like God. There is huge demand for cattle in Bangladesh, but a ban on cattle export is imposed by India.

Indian border guard has taken shoot on sight on India – Bangladesh border. Bangladeshis are killed by BSF shooting regularly. This has failed to stop illegal cattle trade there.

Moreover border killing by BSF (Border Security Force) is considered as an obstacle for better relationship between India and Bangladesh.

Now outgoing BSF chief U K Bansal is saying that the cattle trade should be legalized as it is unstoppable due to huge demand in two thousand crore Rupiah market in Bangladesh. His comment may anger some fundamentalist groups advocating for cow protection.
