Dhaka city has very few places as playgrounds. Many of those play grounds were occupied by many of the influential persons earlier. Now in an eviction drive DCC (Dhaka City Corporation) could finally recover all of them from illegal occupants.
This was made under the direction from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina last year.
The total number of playgrounds under Dhaka City Corporation is 11.
DCC had limited man power and they had to face pressure from a section of influential persons. Despite all the difficulties DCC could finally recover their playgrounds.
Now at least a number of children will be able to have a place to play.
