About 500 workers of swing division of Padma Group have demonstrated again on Wednesday in front of BGMEA office at Karwan Bazar in Dhaka, protesting their sacking and demanding due wages.
The demonstration took place from 9:00am to 1:00pm, which caused traffic jam in the adjacent area.
However, the police refused the allegation of traffic jam for the agitation.
Police managed to take the demonstrators to the BGMEA office, and they left the place after getting assurance from the association leaders.
The factory is in Tejgaon Industrial Area. It was shut down on Sunday. A day later, the workers started demonstration in front of BGMEA office as the factory was closed without any prior notice.
