Indefinite strike of Khulna fuel traders and workers ends after assurance from officials

Fuel traders and workers in Khulna division on Sunday evening called off their indefinite strike over various demands including increase in their commission on fuel sales.

Syed Sajjadul Karim Kabul, central president of the Tank Lorry Owners Association, said a gazette was issued in response to the demand for an increase in commission on fuel sales. But this was not implemented.

“Oil extraction and transportation were suspended this morning. The strike was ended in the afternoon on the assurance of the marketing department official of Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation. The gazette will be amended and implemented in a day or two.
