Love is not crime!

An undergraduate student of Niphamari upazila , had  a love  affair with Subodh Chandra Ray.  But Subodh Chandra Ray who is a head master of a primary school was refusing to marry her. Then that undergraduate student sat in front of Subodh’s house and demanded to marry her. UNO (upazila nirbahi officer) and local police acted in this matter. The UNO formed a mobile court and fined the student. The UNO also called her prostitute. At that time a Bangla daily reported, that news with the headline ‘love is a crime’.

Now the high court has summoned the UNO to appear before the high court on 23rd January. Court has also summoned local Union Parishad chairman and directed the authority to ensure the presence of that victim and her father. Court has also issued a show cause notice that why action will not be taken against the UNO. That means the high court acknowledges that Love is not crime!
