Grameenphone said in a statement that the network outage was the result of damage to its fiber optic cables at two locations in Sirajganj and one location in Tangail. It said the cables were damaged by bulldozers working on road development projects.
Khairul Bashar said the situation is now under control as the damages have been repaired.
