Private Secretary to the Prime Minister Md Nazrul Islam Khan asked all concerned officials to complete development programmes within the schedule to help build `Digital Bangladesh’ as dreamt by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He was addressing a meeting on `Development programs and law and order situation” in the conference room of Netrakona DC office here.
Commissioner of Dhaka division Mohammad Mainuddin Abdullah, deputy inspector general of police of Dhaka division Mohammad Asaduzzaman Mia and officials of other concerned departments addressed the meeting chaired by the deputy commissioner of the district Anis Mahmud.
Nazrul Islam, also National Project Director of UNDP supported Access to Information (A2I) Programme of Prime Minister’s Office, directed the officers and members of law- enforcing agencies to discharge their duties with utmost sincerity and honesty for rooting out corruption from the society.
The meeting discussed matters relating to the progress of different on-going development programs including union level information service centers and overall law and order situation in the district.
Later, Nazrul Islam handed over cheques of about Taka 2.7 crore to 144 retired teachers and employees of non- government educational institutions of Netrokona and Mymensing districts at local Mohuna auditorium here.
