In the Middle East Israel is a self confessed nuclear power. But the US and European Union have no headache on that. There headache is, why Iran has nuclear power. Though Iran has repeatedly saying that its nuclear project is only for peaceful purposes and it has no military ambition.
Amid suspicions of the western world Iran has build its nuclear power plant in Bushehr with technical assistance from Russia. Now Iran’s atomic chief Fereydoon Abbasi Davani is saying that Russia has proposed to build more nuclear power project in Iran.
Iran is planning to generate 20,000 MW of electricity from nuclear energy in future.
Iran have been saying that it has right to use nuclear technology for peaceful purposes, it has started uranium enrichment process. That is essential for nuclear power plants. But enriched uranium may be used to make nuclear bomb also. Western world has been asking Iran to enrich uranium outside Iran. But Iran has refused to do so.
