A tourist has died after being pulled from the water while bathing at Cox’s Bazar beach.
The incident took place at Sugandha Point on the beach at around 12.30 pm on Monday, said Chaudhary Mijanuzzaman, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Tourist Police.
The deceased has been identified as 52-year-old Iqbal Hussain, a resident of Tongi in Ghazipur.
“Iqbal along with his family members had gone to take bath at Sugandha Point on the beach in the morning. He was bathing in knee-deep water.
