Two Rapid Action Battalion (BSF) personnel are abducted by the Indian border security force (BSF) in the border area of Moulvibazar district. Those RAB members are from battalion-9 of the elite force. Details of the incident is not clear yet.
RAB was formed as an elite force of Bangladesh Police and it operates under the supervision of the inspector general of police. But most of its officers are deputed from the armed forces and armed forces have significant influence on the force.

RAB has been very active against the drug traffickers of Muolvibazar district in recent days. There is allegation that drug traffickers use Indian soil. There are some factories adjacent to Bangladesh border. The Border Guard Bangladesh and Border Security Force local officials were in a flag meeting to solve this issue till the latest report came in.
