A fresh discussion has started regarding the ‘mockery of taste’. What roles can artists play to end this dilemma?
We are responsible for the ridicule of taste. The responsibility for creating this crisis rests on all of us. This is a director who creates interest among the audience with his content. An actor will just portray the character as realistically as possible, that’s all.
Instead of doing this, they are just going with the flow and ruining the character with excessive theatrics or various ridiculous gestures for instant popularity. They are destroying the character without understanding its basic nature. We have to move away from that approach.
