Bangladesh registered a massive six-wicket win against Zimbabwe in the second Twenty20 International at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Sunday to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.

In reply to Zimbabwe's 138 for 7, Bangladesh achieved the target with six wickets in hand and nine balls remaining in rain-interrupted play.

Tauheed Hridoy and Mahmudullah ensured the victory of the host team by playing unbeaten innings of 37 and 26 runs respectively for the fifth wicket.

Bangladesh lost the first wicket for 41 runs on the last ball of the power play as Ndlovu had Tanzid Hasan caught by Bennett in the deep. Tanjeed scored 18 runs on 19 balls.

Luke Jongwe gave a double blow to Bangladesh by dismissing Liton Das and captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto in the tenth over. After 10 overs, Bangladesh were suddenly in an uncomfortable position at 62 for 3 as rain interrupted the match for the third time during Bangladesh's innings.

Liton Das was out after scoring 23 runs in 25 balls while Nazmul Hussain was out after scoring 16 runs in 15 balls.

Tauheed Hridoy and Jaker Ali added 31 runs in the fourth wicket partnership, but later on the last ball of the fourteenth over, Nagarava bowled them out for 13 runs in 12 balls.

After this, the experienced Mahmudullah supported Hridoy and ensured that there was no further loss by making an unbeaten partnership of 49 runs for the fifth wicket.
