Grand Success of Eye Camp-Kushtia

The event sought to create an opportunity for patients with eye-related conditions to gain access to necessary consultation and Cataract. The eye camp provided free eye care and medicines to those who attended.

About 1400 patients were examined & 106 Cataract patients were operated

The programme started on Thursday(6 January 2011). Former students of different batches of the school organised it.

Vice-Chancellor of Islamic University also former student of the school Professor Dr. M. Alauddin formally inaugurated the programme amid enthusiasm.

Former Deputy Director of Social Welfare Department also a student of 63’ SSC batch Nazrul Islam in the chair, the programme was addressed by among others Kushtia Civil Surgeon Dr. Jamal Uddin Mollah, Assistant Police Super (ASP), Kushtia Khalequzzaman and president of secondary school teachers association Sahbub Ali as special guest.

Nibha Rani Pathak, headmistress of the school made welcome speech.

Professor Dr. M. Alauddin expressed his strong felling of proud for his participation in such a programme.

The Vice-Chancellor made his deepest thanks to the organisers for initiating such a big programmes round the year.

Dr. Moyeen Uddin, convener of golden jubilee celebration committee said a number of programmes have been chalked out to celebrate the golden jubilee round the year.

The programmes include discussion meetings, free eye camp, blood donation and tree plantation.

The yearlong programmes will also include some development activities of the school.
