The ferry services have been experiencing major difficulties over the last couple of days with the frequent suspension on the Paturia-Daulatdia and Mawa-Kawrakandi routes.
Our Manikganj correspondent reported that the ferry Shah Ali got stuck in a hidden shoal on its way to Daulatdia from Paturia at about 5:30pm.
Later, it was salvaged at around 7:30pm.
The operations on the route became normal at about 12:40pm, 10 minutes after a Ro Ro ferry ‘Khan Jahan Ali’ got stuck at Daulatdia ghat.
Meanwhile, our Munshiganj correspondent reported that ferry service on the Mawa-Kawrakandi route came to a halt after a ferry got stuck in a hidden shoal in the Padma river.
