Though over sixty percent of the country’s people depend on agriculture, this sector remains neglected. So, the government should focus on this sector’s development, they said.
They made the call at the press conference jointly organised by Incidin Bangaldesh and Jatiya Krishi Parjalochona Committee Nagorik Parisor at the Dhaka Reporters’ Unity in the city.
They placed a six-point demand including finalisation of national agriculture policy, formation of agriculture court and farmer’s club, formulation of law to prevent adulteration in agricultural tools and introduction of agriculture rail and agriculture vessel.
Incidin Bangaldesh Executive Directors Ratan Sarkar and AKM Mustak Ali and Nagorik Parisor Convener Tofazzal Hossain Manju, among others, were present at the conference.
